Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information offgridinnovation.com collects, how OGI uses it, and the outside services involved in running the website.
Who we are
This website is operated by Off Grid Innovation USA LLC (“OGI”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at info@offgridinnovation.com, by phone at +1 936 224 0854, or through our contact form.
Information you send us
When you use the quote and contact form on our homepage, we receive the information you enter:
- Name, company and email address (required)
- Phone number (optional)
- Project location (required)
- The product or request type you select
- Any project details you choose to write
The form also sends a few technical values that are not shown to you: the time the form was opened, a hidden field that people do not see, and a random submission identifier. The time and the hidden field are used to filter automated spam. The identifier is passed to our email delivery service with the request; it is not included in the email we receive.
If you email us, call us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the information you include in that communication.
How we use it
We use the information you send to respond to your request, for example to answer a question, prepare a quote, or follow up about the products or services you asked about.
Form requests reach us by email only. We do not currently add them to a customer-relationship management system or a mailing list.
How the form is delivered
The form is processed by a server function hosted by Vercel, which hosts this website. The function checks the request and passes it to a Google Apps Script service in OGI’s Google Workspace account, which sends it as an email to info@offgridinnovation.com. Vercel and Google therefore handle the form contents as part of delivering it to us.
How long we keep it
Requests are kept in OGI’s email account. We do not currently have a fixed schedule for deleting them. You can ask us to delete the information you have sent by contacting us as described under Questions and requests. Copies held in our service providers’ systems, such as email backups, are handled under those providers’ own practices.
Information collected when you visit
Like any website, when your browser requests a page it sends standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the page that linked to it. This information goes to Vercel, which serves the website.
As of the effective date above, this website does not set cookies, does not store information in your browser’s local or session storage, and does not load advertising, analytics or session-recording tools. OGI does not currently use any other analytics, advertising or similar services on this website.
Outside services some pages use
The GPS Monitoring page shows an interactive map. To draw it, your browser loads the Leaflet mapping library from unpkg.com and map images from OpenStreetMap’s tile servers (tile.openstreetmap.org). When that page loads, your browser connects to those services directly, so they receive your IP address and standard request information. Their own privacy policies apply to that information.
Some pages link to other websites, such as manufacturer documents and WhatsApp. If you follow one of those links, that site’s own terms and privacy policy apply.
Questions and requests
If you have a question about this policy, or a request about personal information you have sent us, including a request to delete it, email info@offgridinnovation.com, call +1 936 224 0854, or use our contact form. Please tell us what you are asking for and how we can reach you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.
